Our Mission

Broken To Chosen Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support veterans, first responders and their families who have been affected by PTSD and trauma. We are dedicated to helping bring healing and restoration to our nations hero's. Through faith and nature, we help our heroes connect with Jesus and nature to overcome the effects of PTSD and trauma.

How we accomlish this mission

We help veterans and first responders in several ways. First, we use the love of Jesus. With His love, we take our heroes on fishing, hiking and therapeutic horseback riding trips and more. Additionally, in the Summer of 2025 we will begin hosting weeklong retreats for our hero's and their families at no cost to them. During this time, we have daily ministry time as well as activities such as those listed above as well as farming, blacksmith lessons, private family building time, and more.

About us

Broken To Chosen was founded by Steve and Joy. Steve spent 20 years in the military and was no stranger to trauma and PTSD. After going through many different avenues, he found healing in Christ and he and Joy now strive to bring that same freedom to everyone they can.

How can I help support this cause?

There are a number of ways. First and foremost, prayer! Additionally, if you feel led to support us financially, we are very appreciative. We are also always in need of equipment to help support our HEROES. Any individual we bring fishing we pay for their license and gear and send them home with the gear to enjoy their new adventure for years to come. For any other current equipment needs please feel free to reach out. In the future we will also have volunteer opportunities,

What are your current needs?

Currently we are needing additional fishing gear (rods, tack boxes, lures), a boat to transition from dock fishing, a truck to transport the boat and increase the number of heroes we can serve. Lastly, we are searching for land within 30 minutes of Texarkana that we can build our retreat for heroes.
